What will Bonnie do now that she has decided she doesn’t want to die alone? Will her friends try yet again to bring her back? And what about Jeremy – do any of you buy that he is going to finally move on?Ĭopyright ©2022 Dow Jones & Company, Inc. For whatever reason, all of this drama has brought out the romantic in Elena…after a heartfelt speech between her and Damon, the two walk into his bedroom together hand-in-hand - and I’ll let your imagination wander from there… So now let’s try and end this recap on a positive note.

“And I never want to see you again.” Well, that escalated quickly… Including Tyler ending things with Liv for good. Her moment of clarity came at the last second, which thankfully Jere got to witness, because in the next scene, he’s back home in the Salvatore mansion…but at least he comes bearing good news, am I right?īack on this side of the world, other big things are happening. Yet, in true VD spirit, Bonnie decides at the last minute not to go through with it and saves herself. Jeremy continuously tries to stop her and open the garage door, but he still isn’t technically physically present with her, so his efforts are fruitless. She locks herself in the car garage and turns on the exhaust, which will eventually lead to her death. Much to our dismay, however, she still can’t hear or see Jeremy…which means he has to watch his ex-lover go through the process of ending her life… Jere arrives right as Bonnie begins drinking the fatal bourbon she and Damon had promised they’d share in their self-inflicted demise so long ago. And boy does the spell work in the nick of time. A reluctant and wounded Kai hesitates but eventually gives in. But before we start that conversation, Jeremy takes matters into his own hands and gets Kai out of the fight for good. It almost looks like he has a conscious for a second. For whatever reason…Kai hesitates in ending Liv’s life. Unfortunately, the wound she inflicted wasn’t fatal and now Liv and Kai will be in a full-on battle.Īctually, maybe not. She stabs him and wakes him up, which of course sends Jeremy back from Bonnie. Right before Jeremy reaches Bonnie, she shows up and catches Kai while he’s in the middle of the spell (aka – distracted). Kai is able to send Jere back and just before he starts to communicate with Bonnie, something (of course) hinders the spell. Much to my surprise, the plan is actually working. I guess we’ll learn more on this front later.īack to Kai and Jeremy’s new agreement. She’s even been bamboozled into buying him coffee and a bus ticket back to Mystic Falls. Because of Matt’s good looks and charm, he wins over her attention in no time.

So just what did Enzo want with Matt in his grand plan? He’s essentially using him as his puppet to interact with Sarah on her college campus. The only problem is, if Kai’s magic starts to wear off…Jeremy will be trapped over there with her for eternity. If Kai just uses enough magic to send him back, perhaps he can communicate with Bonnie and bring her with him. In true jilted-lover-fashion, Jeremy has a solution. He’s got a nosebleed (boo-hoo) and doesn’t want to risk his health and power to try sending the whole group again.

And unfortunately, they catch Bonnie at an all-time low…she’s going to kill herself, and without them being able to communicate – they can’t stop her.Īnd before her friends are able to start planning how to save her, Kai’s magical spell wears off and apparently he’s unwilling to perform it again. The only problem is, Bonnie doesn’t know they are there. Upon the realization that he’s joined forces with Damon, Liv uses her magic to knock Tyler out cold before he can contest – and just like that, she’s off (solo) to complete her mission.īut what about Kai living up to his side of the bet…let’s go there, shall we? He’s performed some spell that allows Damon, Elena and Jeremy to travel to this alternative world where Bonnie is trapped. Confidence.or stupidity? I’ll let you decide.Īnyways, she’s ready to begin her revenge immediately, starting with doing a spell to learn Kai’s whereabouts. “I’m going to kill him,” she confides in Tyler. But will she really be able to do anything against her sociopath older brother? She sure seems to think so… And now for some real drama – Liv isn’t going to be able to let losing Luke go by un-avenged.
